PETER is a native New Yorker and the managing member of Bronstein Van Veen LLC of New York City where he concentrates on matrimonial matters often dealing with complex financial and custody issues including trials and appeals. He has lectured widely on topics concerning matrimonial law for various Bar association and public interest groups. He has written articles that have appeared, among other places, in the New York Law Journal, the New York State Bar Journal, and the American Bar Association’s Family Law Quarterly and the Syracuse Law Review. He wrote “The Importance of Proactive Lawyering in Business Valuation Issues,” which was published in 2010 for the New York State Bar Association Journal. Chapters he has written on the trial of matrimonial matters appear in books on matrimonial law published by Prentice Hall and Matthew Bender. He was the co-author of New York Family Law Strategies published by Aspatore (2009). He was the author of the chapter on Prenuptial Agreements in the United States published by Jordan’s in coordination with the IAML in 2011. He has been chairman of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, a member of the Committee on Matrimonial Law of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, a Governor of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a founder and Governor of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and is a diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. Peter is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and has been designated as a Super Lawyer by New York Magazine.
