Lisa R. Schoenfeld is a partner in the matrimonial practice of Schlissel Ostrow Karabatos, PLLC.
Lisa is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and The New York Bar Foundation. She has been selected for inclusion in “Best Lawyers in America” since 2018. Lisa has been selected as a Super Lawyer since 2016, including being selected to the list of Top 50 Women in Metro New York in 2019 and 2020, and was previously selected as a “Rising Star” in New York Family Law. She is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell and was named one of the Top Ten Leaders in Divorce Law – Under 45, Long Island, New York.
Lisa has lectured to the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Matrimonial Committee and Surrogate’s Courts Estates & Trusts Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau Academy of Law, the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Family Law American Inn of Court, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Lisa is a member of numerous organizations, including the Nassau County Bar Association, Matrimonial and Judiciary Committees, and is a past member of its Board of Directors; New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section (Treasurer and Co-Chair Membership Committee) and Section on Women in the Law (Co-Chair Membership Committee), and was a prior Chair of the Young Lawyers Section; and the New York State Family Law American Inn of Court.
Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and her Juris Doctor degree, with distinction, from Hofstra University School of Law where she graduated in the top five (5) percentile of her class.
